As a therapist, much of my working life is about sitting on my ass and listening to people talk. In fact, alot of therapy is about talking. This is good for some things, but useless for others.

That’s why I sought training in and practice EMDR, a type of therapy that enlists the help of your body to process things. The body has its own way of experiencing things, as anyone who has had a panic attack can tell you. EMDR works absolute wonders for this and an array of other things.

If I could, however, study something purely for the joy of it, it would be Art Therapy. There are things that we feel, think and experience that have no words or sensations attached to them.

Just colors and shapes.
