Brotherly Love

He’s nearly my Irish twin (we’re both born in April one year apart).

He’s always been ready to beat up anyone who has hurt me.

He even answered the phone when I called him from jail.

And, last night, when he came over for dinner, he didn’t even mention the slightly undercooked cilantro & citrus marinated Red Snapper or the dry gingerbread that resembled a lunar landscape and tasted a bit like one too.

That’s why I love you brother.

1. Himself at a cast party around 1979.
2. Himself in my new pink suede coat around 1985.
3. Himself in disguise at my father’s 60th birthday party.
