I love new beginnings …
What are you beginning?
Music for the eyes and ears …
Shep and I were treated to a concert in Red Bank, NJ, on Saturday by our friends, Rose & Joe. We were all set to go last year, but got snowed out.
We started at Dish, an amazing little restaurant. The sauteed spinach was a revelation (I wanted to snap a photo … really I did … but I was too busy eating).
Then it was a short walk in the beautiful clear night to the Count Basie Theater for Glen Burtnik’s Xmas Xtravaganza.
We found out that Glen’s been doing this for 20 years as a benefit area food banks. Gotta love that. There was an ever changing array of musicians playing all the alternative holiday music that an alternative music girl like me could stand.
Thanks, Rose & Joe!

was 2 weeks ago. Arrived for a scrumptious dinner with Mom and Dad. Left after breakfast. I did, however, manage to pop into my favorite store: White Flower Farmhouse.
At the helm of the farmhouse is Lori Guyer, who my aunts know from the yard sale circuit. When my parents had their own yard sale a few years ago, Lori came by the day before and snatched up some cool pieces for the store. I love Lori’s eye and how she puts things together.
Here are a few snapshots of what she put together for the holidays.
Oh and I’d love you to come find me in my new blog home when I move a few weeks from now. Sign up here.
I signed up for Marianne Elliott’s 30 Days of Yoga and I’m pretty darn excited.
It’s been about 7 years since I’ve had a daily home practice. When I did, however, I felt amazingly grounded and clear. I felt at home in my body, and I felt as if I could do anything.
Want to do it with me? It starts January 4th.
By then, I’ll be in my yummy new blog home. Yippeee!! I’d love to invite you there! Sign up here.
Make your own Owl 2011 calendar! I love Shivani for her generosity!
